In fact, there are many different reasons that drug tests are used and several different types of drug screenings out there. While people commonly know about things like the difference between a hair test or a urine test, what is less understood is the need for a 10 panel drug test instead of a 5 panel one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary difference between these two types of tests lies in the different substances that are tested for. The ten panel test will check for a total of ten different substances compared to the five substances a 5 panel drug test looks for. In total, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/10-panel-drug-test\/\">10 panel drug test looks for<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Marijuana<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cocaine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amphetamines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opiates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PCP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Benzodiazepines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Methadone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Barbiturates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Methaqualone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propoxyphene<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Those last five on the list above are the 5 additional drugs that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/10-panel-drug-test\/\"><strong>10-panel drug test<\/strong><\/a> will look for that the <strong>5-panel<\/strong> test doesn\u2019t. Upon reviewing them, it\u2019s easy to see why the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/10-panel-drug-test\/\"><strong>10-panel<\/strong><\/a> option has become so important. The nation is facing a serious problem with prescription drug abuse \u2013 one that has reached epidemic proportions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/10-panel-drug-test\/\">10-panel drug test<\/a> will help identify those who are abusing prescription medications.<\/strong> While the 5-panel test will look for opiates, benzodiazepines like Xanax aren\u2019t tested for in those tests, nor is methadone or barbiturates. Since these are frequently abused as well, the 10-panel test is worth using to help identify the use of these drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are some additional costs associated with a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/10-panel-drug-test\/\">10-panel drug screening<\/a><\/strong>, but for most organizations, the extra cost is worth it due to the increased amount of substances that are able to be identified in a test.
