Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air, LLC faces a fine of more than $260,000 for an alleged offense related to drug and alcohol testing<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 The Federal Aviation Administration charges that Allegiant failed to include a group 25 employees hired or transferred to safety-sensitive jobs for random drug testing, with a total of 11 working on multiple occasions without being in the testing pool. \u00a0Positions include airline pilots, flight attendants, air traffic controllers, maintenance workers, dispatchers and security screeners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n FAA also stated that one Allegiant employee who continued to work in a sensitive job after a positive drug test result was not directly observed during a follow-up test, as required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
