All employment drug testing programs should be reviewed by an expert in drug testing or legal counsel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These categories do not affect DOT-regulated drug testing. Government employers should always call for potential additional restrictions on employee drug testing<strong><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Split specimen testing is required.&nbsp; Testing is allowed with the following specimens &#8211; urine, blood, hair and oral fluid.<\/p>\n<p>Post-accident testing may occur only when administered by a person providing treatment, not at the request of the employer.<\/p>\n<p>Employers are not required to permit or accommodate the use, consumption, possession, transfer, display, transportation, distribution, sale, or growing of marijuana in the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>On 02\/26\/2021 Iowa passed a law making it a criminal offense with penalties for cheating or defrauding a drug or alcohol test.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/legiscan.com\/IA\/bill\/HF283\/2021\">See House Bill 283.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/us_state_laws\/50481"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/us_state_laws"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/us_state_laws"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/us_state_laws\/50481\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.nationaldrugscreening.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=50481"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
