Workplace Drug Testing Issues \u2013 Idaho State Laws<\/span><\/h2>\n

These categories do not effect DOT-regulated drug testing. Government employers should always call for potential additional restrictions on employee drug testing.<\/p>\n

This chart is based on the provisions of the voluntary law – IDAHO EMPLOYER ALCOHOL AND DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE ACT – IDAHO CODE 72-1701 TO 1716<\/a><\/p>\n

On 02\/26\/2021 Idaho pass a law that updated the definition of marijuana eliminating certain FDA-approved medications.  This amendment also adds certain synthetic cannabis substances to the definition of controlled substances. See Idaho Senate Bill 1017 CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES<\/a> — Amends existing law to provide for certain synthetic drugs and controlled substances.<\/p>\n\n\n
