For DOT regulated employees<\/strong>, there is an additional requirement that may be coordinated by the EAP program or the applicant\/employee goes direct to a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Substance Abuse Professional (SAP)<\/strong> is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.  This is mandatory for positive or refusal DOT drug or alcohol tests \u2013 employees or applicants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
